๐Ÿ”ŠTeacher Feature Friday ๐ŸŽ‰ @movedbyanna As f ๐Ÿ”ŠTeacher Feature Friday ๐ŸŽ‰ @movedbyanna As far back as she can remember Anna has always been a soul drawn to seek answers to lifeโ€™s deeper questions, and to touch, taste and experience all of this great mysterious existence. Over the past 10 years, yoga has become her greatest companion and teacher in this journey. After dabbling in Yoga classes from the age of 17, she began frequenting a humble Hare Krishna Yoga studio in Auckland during her university years, where she was studying philosophy and social sciences. It was in those yoga classes that she began to taste the more profound, energetic and transformational potential of Yoga. The seed of practice had been planted. ๐Ÿ™ After her studies, during a 6-month journey on a small sailboat around the South Pacific, no studio in sight, with just enough space on the bow of the boat, she continued to practice yoga, just to get a little space to herself, and to find her center. It was out on a small floating pier in Tonga that she taught her first yoga class to her crew in 2015. Out at sea she witnessed the busyness of her mind.ย  And so, in the middle of the ocean, she discovered within, an impulse to learn to meditate, to calm the storms of her mind.ย  Soon upon her return, she signed up for a 10-day silent Buddhist meditation retreat to formally learn the practice that had become her saving grace at sea. With a curiosity to dive in deeper to the tradition that had first sparked her interest in inner work, she undertook her first Yoga teacher training in 2017, and has been teaching ever since. She has now dedicated herself to advanced continuing study with world-renowned master teacher, Yogarupa Rod Stryker, exploring the lineage-based profound teachings that have been passed from teacher to student for thousands of years, developing into a succinct science of transformation. It wasnโ€™t until living here that she started practicing yoga asana. Thanks to dancing since she was 5 years old and her developed body awareness, she quickly recognized the benefits of yoga practices, not only at the physical level. Curiosity led her deeper and deeper into studying yogic philosophy and practices until she completed 200 hours of Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in Mysuru, India, in 2017. She has also completed 100 hours of Acroyoga Teacher Training and an additional 100 hours of Acroyoga mentorship with Chelsea and Jason Magness in Te Anau, NZ. ๐Ÿ™ Deni specialises in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Chakra specific yoga. Her classes combine mindful movement with breath awareness and finish with pranayama and meditation. Influenced by The Practice in Bali and teachings of Octavio Salvado, Deniโ€™s Tantric Hatha classes use intelligent sequencing with the aim to move your prana with purpose. ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ . Deni is originally from the Czech Republic. In 2008 she left her country when she was 18 to travel and gain experience abroad, mainly to improve her English. After working at the Walkers Crisps factory in England for a year, she decided to move to Scotland in order to study. Deni has finished her Masterโ€™s Degree in Sociology at the University of Aberdeen and spent 7 years in Scotland; working full time and teaching dancing alongside her studies. . If Deni isnโ€™t leading yoga classes, sheโ€™s teaching acroyoga with her partner Chris, or getting you moving at her Streetdance classes โ€“ a style sheโ€™s been teaching since 15 years old. She is also a very passionate and intuitive holistic massage therapist and Reiki practitioner, offering sessions as a mobile service. She enjoys traveling, slacklining and climbing, as well as spending time with friends and sipping coconut lattes. . Deni continues cultivating her student-like mindset on a daily basis and stays on her journey of trying to be the best version of herself every day.
