Kids Yoga

A fun and non-competitive way for kids to develop concentration, creativity, self esteem and body awareness.

Two age groups are run – Yonger (4 – 8 years) and Older (8 – 12 years).

With the younger children, Sandi combines the art of story telling, vivid imagination and yoga games to cultivate breath and body awareness. A typical class explores animal themes and environments from the natural world to help young bodies stretch, strengthen and play.

In the older class and with the teens there is a more focussed approach to postures, sequencing, meditation and breath awareness. Older children and Teens are taught unique stress self management skills and are encouraged to integrate these skills so that they can take their yoga “off the mat ” and benefit in their daily lives.
