Rachel Land

Rachel is a full-time yoga teacher, and yoga teacher trainer, offering Slow Flow, Power & Yin Yoga classes, plus regular weekend workshops and retreats to help you grow your practice.
As a teenager, Rachel was drawn to Hatha yoga as a way to challenge her body, then move beyond it to a place of calm and clarity. It took 20 years, a Business Degree, and a stint in corporate marketing for that initial interest in yoga to spark the idea of something more, but in 2011 Rachel finally became a Yoga Alliance registered teacher.
Since then she has studied Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, and Sports Training & Development. She has completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training with Tiffany Cruikshank and Yoga Medicine (focusing on yoga therapy for shoulders, spine, and hips) and now forms part of the Yoga Medicine teaching team.
To truly know a teacher, however, you need to know their students. Whether they come for a strong vinyasa practice or slower, more subtle exploration, the common denominator to Rachel’s students is lively curiosity; they come to learn – about alignment and anatomy, and about themselves. As a teacher, Rachel aims to both spark and satisfy that curiosity. She takes her role seriously, but takes herself lightly.
