Sandi emphasises empowering, intuitive, grounding and heart opening alignment principles and also allows time for restoration, philosophy and moments of stillness. Known for her lyrical prose and poetic storytelling she transports people out of the surface “every day” state, inspiring and awakening them to reconnect to their sacred inner being. She enjoys sharing chanting and personal experience in a lighthearted way.
Sandi co-facilitated her first 200-hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training in 2015 with Tantric Yogini and International Teacher Nianna Bray and received further advanced teachings from her in Women’s Wisdom and Women’s empowerment practices.
She has been teaching Children’s and Teen’s Yoga since 2005. Sandi’s passion for play and the joy it brings naturally attracts her to the energy of children. Likewise they are drawn to her diverse style which incorporates the art of storytelling, song and classical postures in a way that children/teens can relate to. As a mother of two, Sandi also specialises in Pregnancy and post-natal Mums and Bubs Yoga.
When she is not teaching yoga you will find her soaking up family time, travelling, bouncing out into nature on a hike, skiing or enjoying a jog to the river. Her dedicated daily ritual includes pre-sleep immersion in the warmth of a candle-lit lavender bath. Ah, bliss!
Her greatest desire for her students and her vision for Nadi echoes the most peaceful, Mahatma Gandhi ~ that we “be the change we wish to see in the world”

Teacher Training FAQs
Do I need to be super experienced in yoga?
The most important ‘experience’ you need for the Nadi Yoga Teacher Training is a solid regular practice to have the basic knowledge needed to feel confident during the training. If you’re unsure if you are experienced enough, reach out and we’ll have you join Sandi for one of her classes so she can see your practice and answer any questions you may have after class!
What if I don’t want to be a yoga teacher?
A lot of our students choose to never become yoga teachers! This training is really about deepening your yoga practice and finding your true self If you decide you want to pursue teaching, you will have all the tools necessary to do so. If you decide to not to become a yoga teacher, you will gain more skills and tools to better navigate life.
Do you have payment plans available?
Absolutely! We have module payments available to pay as you go. However, if you are needing a personalised payment plan reach out to us via email and we will be happy to set that up for you! If the price is the only thing keeping you from starting your journey with us, please reach out and we will see what we can do to help you.
What if English is not my first language?
That’s totally fine! Many of our students have English as a second language. We will set you up to join one of Sandi’s classes so you can see how easily you understand her teacher voice, and she will chat with you after class to answer any questions or uncertainties you may have.
What are my options for accommodation if I’m travelling to Queenstown for the training?
There is accommodation throughout Queenstown and we are more than happy to help you find something that fits within your budget and needs if you need assistance.
What if I can’t take all that time off of work?
This can be tricky for some of our students. There is only so much you can miss in the training before it inhibits your learning, which is why we have set up the training in module format. We have found that by having one module for 7 days once a month over the course of 4 months, it has been easier for students to take the time off work and plan with enough advance notice.
Can I miss days of the training?
If you have to miss a day of training, please let us know as soon as possible so we can see what is the best way to get you the information. If you have to miss more than one day, we can discuss with you how this may affect the training. If you are sick or have to isolate, we do have the option of having you join us live via Zoom for those days while you are not able to come in for the training in person.
How do I know if I am "ready" for a yoga teacher training?
There really isn’t a right answer to this question. Yoga is a practice, so some of us may never feel “ready” or “good enough” for a training. But that isn’t what a training is about. It’s about deepening your personal practice. If you are wanting to expand your knowledge, if you are wanting to uncover a version of your deeper self, if you wanting to grow both in your yoga practice and personally, then you are “ready” to embark on this journey!
Do I need previous training experience?
Not at all! Most of our students have never done a yoga training before. And if you have, every training and every teacher is different, so your experience will be completely different and you will learn something new!
